Terms and conditions
Oldham Tuition Centre
- About Us
Oldham Tuition Centre (“the Centre”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides academic tuition in Maths, English and Science for children aged 6–18.
Oldham Tuition Centre is the trading name used for service delivery. For regulatory purposes, the Centre operates as Oldham Central Centre.
2. Admission & Enrolment
A child’s place is confirmed only once a completed enrolment form and the required payments have been received. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and, once allocated, are reserved exclusively for the child. Enrolment confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
3. Registration Fee
A non-refundable registration fee of £30 is payable upon enrolment. This covers administration, onboarding, assessment, planning, and allocation of resources.
4. Tuition Sessions
Tuition is delivered in 1-hour sessions per subject. Students may enrol in one or multiple subjects. Session structure and subjects are agreed at enrolment and may only be changed with notice and subject to availability.
5. Fees & Payment
All tuition fees are payable monthly in advance and are due on the 1st of each month. Payments may be made by standing order, bank transfer, cash, or approved childcare payment schemes (where applicable).
Fees cover planning, resources, premises, staffing, and the reservation of a place, and are not charged per attendance.
6. Missed Sessions & Holidays
No refunds, credits, discounts, or make-up sessions are provided for missed lessons, regardless of reason, including illness, holidays, school activities, or personal circumstances. If holidays are taken during the Centre’s operating term, full fees remain payable to retain the child’s place. Sessions cancelled by the Centre will not be charged.
7. Late Payments
A late administration fee of £20 per calendar month will be applied where payment remains outstanding after the due date. Continued non-payment may result in suspension or withdrawal of a child’s place. All outstanding balances remain payable.
8. Notice Period & Withdrawal
A minimum of two weeks’ written notice is required to withdraw a child. Fees remain payable during the notice period. Failure to give notice will result in fees being charged in lieu of notice.
9. Parental Responsibilities
Parents and guardians agree to support homework and learning tasks, inform the Centre of medical conditions or special educational needs, ensure punctual arrival and collection, and accept responsibility for their child’s safety outside the classroom.
10. Behaviour & Safeguarding
The Centre maintains clear behaviour standards to ensure a safe, respectful, and effective learning environment. A zero-tolerance approach to unacceptable behaviour is applied. Persistent or serious breaches of behaviour expectations may result in temporary suspension or termination of enrolment, subject to the notice provisions.
11. Ofsted (Parent Information)
For Ofsted purposes, the Centre operates as Oldham Central Centre, trading as Oldham Tuition Centre, and is registered on the Voluntary Part of the Childcare Register.
Ofsted URN: 2687998
Registered Setting Address: 274 Manchester Road, Oldham, OL9 7EL
Registration is not legally required for this provision type and the Centre is not an Ofsted-graded or inspected school.
12. Temporary Closures
The Centre may close for staff training, public holidays, or exceptional circumstances. Advance notice will be given where possible.
13. Liability
The Centre is not liable for loss or damage to personal property, indirect or consequential losses, or third-party claims. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where prohibited by law.
14. Complaints & Contact Information
We aim to resolve concerns promptly and fairly. Parents and guardians are encouraged to raise concerns informally in the first instance. If unresolved, a formal complaint should be submitted in writing and will be reviewed within a reasonable timeframe.
